Soma Bay is known for incredible conditions for kitesurfing and is one of the top 3 kite spots of the world. The warm, dry African winds pass through the desert to provide an enjoyable hairdryer type breeze as you cruise over the crystal clear Red Sea.
June, July and August are the warmest months when you don’t need a wetsuit on the water. There is plenty of space and the water is flat, turquoise and great for all level kitesurfers. The wind blows here from march till November, and the strenght varies with some days blowing around 30+ knots and other days around 15-18 knots. No wind? No problem – this amazing place is also great for golf, snorkelling and diving.
