FAQ

How do I get to Infinity Sport Kitesurfing from London?

It’s easiest to drive; on a good day, it takes about 75 minutes from the O2 to St Mary’s Bay where we teach. Alternatively, some of our students take a train to Ashford International and then an Uber or public transport from there.

What facilities are available (Toilets, Showers & Parking)?

Public toilets are available at all locations where we teach. For your comfort, we also have showers and toilets at our school. Regarding parking at Greatstone, charges are: 1 April – 30 September: £2.00/hr (min £2.00) or £12.00 all-day (6+ hours). 1 October – 31 March: £2.00/hr (min £2.00) or £12.00 all-day (6+ hours).

Is kitesurfing safe?

Kitesurfing is very safe when learned through a certified BKSA school. We use the latest high-end equipment with advanced safety-release systems. Teaching in the shallow waters of Greatstone further enhances safety, as you are always in control and can simply stand up if needed.

Where do the lessons take place?

Our primary base is Greatstone Beach. Depending on wind direction and conditions, we also teach at St. Mary’s Bay and Winchelsea Beach to guarantee the flattest, safest environment for your session.

Do I need to be strong to kitesurf?

Not at all. Kitesurfing is about technique rather than strength. The harness takes the weight of the kite. However, for safety, you must be a confident swimmer.

How many lessons does it take to learn?

Everyone learns at their own pace, but many students pick up the fundamentals in just 5 lessons and begin riding independently shortly after.
