ELEVEIGHT RS V10: THE LEGENDARY ALL-ROUNDER, HONESTLY REVIEWED
If you’ve spent a day at our center, you’ve seen the RS V10 in action. It is the kite we trust for our students and the one we grab for our own sessions when we don’t know what the conditions will do. Now in its tenth version, the RS has been refined into a masterpiece of “plug-and-play” performance. It’s designed to be the only kite you ever need, regardless of whether you’re chasing flat water, waves, or your first jumps.

OUR GENUINE TAKE: WHO IS IT FOR?
The RS V10 is for the rider who wants freedom. You aren’t locked into one style. One day you’re practicing backrolls on a twin-tip; the next, the swell picks up and you want to take a surfboard out. The RS handles both beautifully. It’s incredibly stable, has a huge wind range, and is famously easy to relaunch if it ends up in the water.
The Reality Check: We believe in being upfront. While the RS is amazing at 90% of things, it’s a “jack of all trades.” If you are a heavy rider (95kg+) specifically looking to break height records and hunt for 20m+ boosts, the RS might feel a bit too “forgiving.” For pure, aggressive Big Air or beating the Woo leaderboards, you’d be better off with the Stratos. Similarly, while it works for foiling, dedicated foil junkies might find it has more “grunt” than they need compared to a single-strut kite.
TECH SPEC (IN PLAIN ENGLISH)
We’ve cut through the marketing jargon to explain why the V10 actually feels different:
- New 6-Point Bridle: Think of this as the kite’s suspension. It distributes the load better, making the bar feel lighter in your hands and the kite more stable when the wind gets “punchy.”
- XT 2.0 Material: This is the “frame” of the kite. It’s a stiff, high-grade fabric that keeps the kite from deforming under pressure.
- X4 & X6 Ripstop: This is the canopy fabric. The “4” and “6” refer to the weave strength—it’s essentially “bulletproof” fabric that won’t stretch out over time.
- Push Lock Valve: A simple, high-airflow valve that means you spend less time pumping and more time riding.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
Is the Eleveight RS V10 good for beginners?
Yes, it’s one of the best. Its predictable power delivery and easy relaunch make it the safest and most confidence-inspiring kite for those starting their journey.
Can I use the RS V10 for Big Air?
Absolutely. It has incredible “hangtime.” However, if your only goal is maximum height and aggressive loops, the Stratos is the specialized tool for that.
What bar should I use with the RS V10?
We recommend the Eleveight CS Vary Bar. The V10 is designed to work perfectly with a “low-V” line setup.
Is the RS V10 suitable for foiling?
Yes. Because it is stable and doesn’t stall easily, it’s a great “one-kite” solution if you want to twin-tip most of the time but occasionally take out your hydrofoil.
