Girls Kite Together Club brings together kitesisters from all round the country. The club is more than kiting together. We are real community on and off the water. Girls Kite Together benefit from very active chat group too, where we talk about next session, gear, camps & holidays plus many more female focused subjects.
Girls Kite Together Club takes place every two weeks at low tide. Participants benefit from three hours of group coaching to improve their riding style and more! Hear from Olivia below, about her experience with the GKT crew and an eventful trip to Mauritius.

A community of strong, inclusive, independent women. We have been brought together thanks to our shared passion for kitesurfing and determination to progress. It has been amazing to see the growth of the GKT network over the last few years. But from my own experience, I can’t say I’m surprised! When I first saw a girls coaching session advertised back in 2019, I thought perfect! This is exactly what I need. The added support, tips and tricks really helped me to become more confident on the water and push myself harder. Looking out for each other, women supporting women, raising each other up.
The benefits of this community aren’t only on the water. I’ve learnt a warmup routine that activates muscles, supports injury prevention and gets the mind focused – which I do before every session and feel so much better for! We coordinate lift shares, get kit and location advice, and celebrate the general awesomeness of everyone involved. With trusted and informed ladies from all experience levels, it is a safe, supportive and open environment. I’ve made some amazing friends through the community, sharing day trips to our local spots and adventures on kite holidays further afield. Always embracing the elements with positive vibes. There are days when we have a number of ladies out on the water… the smiles, the waves, the wooping is really quite energising and encouraging! There have even been sessions at our local spot in Greatstone when the girls dominate the water – it feels pretty badass to be part of that to be honest!
In fact, you’re never too far away from our community… while hiking in Mauritius I spotted a GKT t-shirt at the top of Le Morne and immediately introduced myself!
A big big thanks to Sylwia, our queen who has a huge heart and the most beautiful energy driving this community together. You inspire us all!
