Environmental Policy

Purpose

The purpose of this Environmental Policy is to demonstrate Infinity Sport Kitesurfing’s commitment to addressing environmental issues both within our organisation and through the services we provide. This policy outlines how we will identify our environmental impact, implement measures to reduce it, and ensure all team members contribute to achieving our sustainability goals.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees, instructors, and contractors at Infinity Sport Kitesurfing, both full-time and part-time. It will also be shared with suppliers, partners, and consultants where relevant, to underline our dedication to environmental responsibility.

Our Commitment

Infinity Sport Kitesurfing is committed to supporting the transition to a net-zero future and reducing the environmental impact of our operations. Our actions will focus on the following areas:

  1. Staff Engagement & Responsibility

We will foster environmental awareness and accountability across our organisation by:

  • Communicating this policy to all team members and embedding sustainable practices across all levels.
  • Allowing dedicated time and resources for staff to implement and uphold environmental standards.
  • Supporting the creation of a staff-led environmental working group, open to all team members and reflective of the organisation as a whole.
  • Encouraging discussions on climate concerns through our internal wellbeing programmes.

Senior Management will:

  • Lead by example and champion this policy across the business.
  • Promote environmental responsibility to all employees and external partners.
  • Commit to staff wellbeing by framing environmental action in a positive, empowering way.

Employees and Contractors will:

  • Be familiar with and uphold the environmental standards relevant to their roles, including understanding the carbon footprint associated with their tasks.
  • Take responsibility for minimising their individual environmental impact, whether on-site or while working remotely.
  • Actively share and implement ideas to improve sustainability practices across the organisation.
  1. Operations & Service Delivery

In line with our mission to provide exceptional and sustainable watersports services, we will:

  • Monitor and reduce energy and resource consumption in our operations, including office spaces and remote work settings.
  • Promote green travel choices such as cycling, carpooling, public transport, and reducing non-essential travel where possible.
  • Encourage online or hybrid participation for meetings and events to reduce unnecessary transportation.
  • Minimise waste generation, prioritise recycling, and actively reduce single-use plastics.
  • Engage with our community and clients on climate awareness and how it aligns with our mission and values.
  • Comply with all applicable environmental legislation and regulations.
  • Adopt frameworks such as ACEVO’s Climate Leadership Principles to guide and evaluate our environmental efforts.
  1. Governance

The board of Infinity Sport Kitesurfing holds ultimate responsibility for this policy and will:

  • Annually assess the risks and opportunities related to climate breakdown that could affect our operations and community.
  • Discuss the intersection of our mission and climate action at least once per year during board meetings.
  • Report annually on our environmental progress, challenges, and future goals in our public communications.
  • Regularly review our investment approach to ensure alignment with ethical and sustainable practices, including exploring divestment from sectors such as fossil fuels and polluting industries where applicable.
  • Include environmental risks on our organisational risk register, identifying appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Provide guidance to staff on how to align personal and company pensions with ethical and green funds where feasible.
  1. Suppliers and Procurement

Infinity Sport Kitesurfing is committed to working with suppliers who share our environmental values. As part of our procurement process:

  • Suppliers will be required to share their environmental policies or outline actions they are taking to reduce their environmental impact.
  • We will actively seek opportunities to collaborate with suppliers to minimise the environmental footprint of the products and services we purchase.
  • While sustainability will not be the sole factor in supplier selection, we recognise that our engagement can influence positive change within our supply chain.

Review & Accountability
This policy will be reviewed annually by the senior management team and board to ensure continuous improvement. We are committed to transparent reporting and welcome feedback from our staff, clients, and partners to further strengthen our environmental actions.
